Backworth Hall

THE VENUE

Backworth Hall is a Grade II listed country house dating back to 1780, set in 85 acres of grounds just north of Newcastle. It's had a rich past, once home to a wealthy landowning family, later the welfare and recreation centre for the local mining community, and that sense of history still shows in the Newton Room and the tall-ceilinged Grey Room, whether you're saying your vows or dancing the night away. We photograph weddings here in the same relaxed, documentary style we use everywhere else, capturing the day as it actually happens, not a series of poses.
