Do we get to meet up?
Yes, a pre-wedding shoot is included free with every booking. We meet up before the wedding, have a walk around somewhere, take a few photos together, and that's all it takes. By the time your wedding day comes, the cameras aren't new or strange. Most photographers charge £150 or more for this as a separate add-on. We include it with every booking.
What do you need from me?
The main things are the timings for the day, from getting ready through to the evening, and a short list of any specific group or family shots you want. We go through all of this at the pre-wedding shoot so nothing gets forgotten. On the day itself, you don't need to manage us. We know how a wedding flows.
Do you always have 2 photographers?
Yes, always. Karl covers the ceremony and key moments while Mandi watches the room, the guests, and everything happening around the edges. That's why couples tell us they got photographs they didn't even know were being taken. Most photographers offer one. We've always included two.
What is your photography style?
Documentary. We stay in the background and capture your day as it happens, with relaxed, candid, real moments and no stiff poses. We will still take the family and group photos you want, but the day is photographed as it unfolds.
I'm worried about parts of the day?
Tell us. Almost a hundred weddings in, we've seen it all, timings that ran late, nervous grooms, speeches that went sideways, and we dealt with all of it without the day falling apart. Nothing you're worried about will surprise us. And the pre-wedding shoot helps a lot too, by the time the day comes you'll barely notice we're there.
What happens if it rains?
We work with whatever the day gives us. We bring umbrellas, and rain, grey skies and bad weather often produce some of the most interesting photographs. You don't need to worry about the weather. We do.
Do you photograph in dark venues and in the evening?
Yes, low light is no problem for us, from candlelit ceremonies and dark venues to the evening dance floor.
How many photos will we get?
Every usable photo from the day. A typical wedding produces up to 4,000 photographs. We don't cull down to an artificial package limit. You get everything worth keeping.
Where can I see all my photos?
Every single photo is uploaded to a private digital gallery on Flickr, so you can view, share and download them. If you would like a USB drive, you buy the stick and we load your photos onto it free of charge.

How long will my photos stay online?
Forever. Your private gallery on Flickr stays online for good, so you can come back to your photos whenever you like.
How long until I get my photos?
Karl edits and delivers your full gallery within a week of the wedding, usually sooner. He edits the day after. Most wedding photographers take 4 to 8 weeks. You won't be waiting months to see them.
Can I have copies of all my images?
Yes. You get every photo in both RAW and JPG formats. Most photographers only give you JPGs. RAW files give you the full uncompressed original, so if you ever want to reprocess or print large, you have the best possible version to work from. If you would like your photos on a USB drive, you buy the stick, as many as you need, and we load them onto it free of charge.

What if I want no online copies?
If you would rather not have your photos online, just tell us. We can deliver them to you on a USB drive instead. You buy the stick and we load your photos onto it free of charge.
Do I get printed pictures?
No, everything is digital, but photobooks and canvas prints are easy to order yourself from your photos.
What about copyright of the photos?
The photos are yours outright once you have paid for them, so you can do whatever you like with them.
Can I use my photos on social media?
Yes, use them however you like. Print them, share them, post them. The photos are yours.
How did you get into photography?
Karl's dad gave him his first camera, and he spent his childhood playing with his dad's Hasselblad cameras.
