THE STORY

Once upon a time, when my hair wasn't so gray and I thought afternoon naps were only for the really old, I hatched a simple plan: photograph local bands and enjoy a few nights out along the way. A brilliant few years, some great friends, and a Canon camera that quickly became an obsession.

As the work grew, so did the commissions. Portraits, events, and eventually the request that changed everything: photograph a wedding.
Fifteen years and almost a hundred weddings later, it is what we do. Karl and Mandi, covering the North East together, one wedding at a time.

Weddings are chaotic, unpredictable, and brilliantly human. That suits us perfectly.

How it works

BOOKING

Drop us an email, a WhatsApp or give us a call to check your date. We reply quickly.

BEFORE THE DAY

We meet for a coffee and a relaxed walk-around shoot beforehand, so we're familiar faces on the day, not strangers with cameras.

ON THE DAY

We blend in, stay out of the way, and watch for everything. The formal shots get done without a fuss. The rest happens around them.

MEET THE TEAM

Two photographers. One complete story of your day.
Karl Pijnen, lead wedding photographer at Confetti Chasers

Karl

Photographer

Karl started shooting bands in the early 2000s and never really stopped looking for the moment. At weddings, he covers the structure: the ceremony, the formal groups, the couple's portraits. He works fast and keeps things relaxed, so it never feels like a photoshoot.

Almost a hundred weddings in, he knows how a day flows, where the light will be, and which moment is coming next. That means less direction, less interruption, and photographs that look like your day actually felt.

Mandi, wedding photographer at Confetti Chasers specialising in candid moments

Mandi

Photographer

Mandi reads a room better than most people in it. While Karl is on the ceremony, she is watching the guests, the parents, the children doing something unexpected at the back. The photographs you will go back to most are usually hers.

Together they cover the whole day from two different angles: the moments everyone sees and the ones nobody noticed until they saw the photo.
