Choosing the beautiful Fairy Braes Field near Galashiels for their outdoor ceremony, Melissa and Marti created a wedding day that reflected exactly who they are. With preparations taking place at the nearby Kingsknowes Hotel, a charming Scottish country house full of character, the day blended classic surroundings with the freedom and beauty of the Scottish countryside.
Scotland being Scotland, the weather had its own plans. A little rain arrived, but it never became the story of the day. Instead, it added to the atmosphere, proving that a wedding isn't made by sunshine, it's made by the people sharing it. Family and friends embraced every moment, laughing together, celebrating together and making memories that no forecast could ever spoil.
Following the outdoor ceremony, everyone gathered inside the incredible giant yurt at Fairy Braes Field. It was unlike any reception space we've photographed before. Warm, welcoming and full of rustic charm, the glowing log burner quickly became the heart of the celebration, creating the perfect cosy atmosphere while guests relaxed, chatted and enjoyed the evening together. As daylight faded, the yurt came alive with music, dancing and plenty of laughter, making for an unforgettable celebration beneath the canvas.
As wedding photographers, these are the days we absolutely love.
