The biggest difference between a great wedding album and a mediocre one often comes down to whether the couple were comfortable in front of the camera. When you've never been photographed by someone before, it shows. When you have, it doesn't.
A pre-wedding shoot fixes that. We spend an hour or so together somewhere relaxed, no pressure, no formal backdrop, just a walk and a chat with cameras. By the end you've already been photographed by us, you know how we work, and we know how you photograph best. On the day itself we're familiar faces, not strangers with lenses.
Most photographers charge £150 or more for this as a separate add-on. We include it with every booking at no extra cost, because we think it makes a real difference to the photos you end up with.
Anywhere you like. A favourite walk, a local park, the venue itself if you want to scout it beforehand. There's no studio, no white background, nothing artificial. Just somewhere you feel at ease.
About an hour, sometimes a little more if we're having a good time. We're not watching the clock. The point is to get you relaxed, not to rush through a checklist.
A proper set of photos from the session, delivered the same way as your wedding gallery. Some couples use them for save-the-dates or social media. Others just enjoy having them.
Good. That is exactly who these sessions are for. Most people who think they are terrible in front of a camera are actually just unused to it. It is not a permanent condition. After an hour with us, most couples are surprised by how quickly they forgot the camera was there.
One couple told us afterwards: "For two people who didn't want a photographer, you helped us relive some amazing moments." That is what the pre-wedding shoot is for.
The pre-wedding shoot is arranged once your date is booked. Get in touch to check availability, or see our full pricing for what's included.
